Often described as a "going concern", Carolyne Taylor's entrepreneurial spirit started back when she was seven years old, running restaurants out of the basement of her home and doing charity garage sales on the street!
Carolyne has insight into how systems and people work together, accompanied by strong creativity and innovation which gives her both the ability to see the big picture and to drill down into all the little details.
Happiest when she is juggling mutliple projects - Carolyne founded 24 Carrot Learning in 2003 to be the place where people go to find learning opportunities - whether that was workshops, courses or books (yes, she loves books) - it is her dream and her passion. When she is not promoting the website, she works as a Human Resources consultant, event and conference planner, trainer and has recently been appointed as a Director for a Canadian business networking organization, Roaring Women.
Susan spent 23 years in the Electrical and Engineering Departments of TELUS. Technology was forever changing and so were the responsibilities of her job. She was asked to train the electrical crews on the basics of computers, laptops and various software programs. From that request evolved a recognized TELUS course and a realization of how much she enjoyed training and development. In 2003 Susan was given the opportunity to separate from TELUS and start something new. 24 Carrot Learning offered a friendly, flexible and fun working environment and after job-sharing for 10 years and raising a family, it fit with Susan’s lifestyle. Today Susan enjoys the variety in her work and hopes to see 24 Carrot Learning Inc. grow to be the most highly recognized Training and Development company in North America. She looks forward to being part of the journey.
Prior to joining 24 Carrot Learning, Lisa spent 21 years as a Claims Adjudicator for the Ministry of Health. While there, she chaired the Ministry’s Social Committee, organizing many events including golf tournaments and other socials. A strong presence in the volunteer community, Lisa has participated with different organizations as a member of a Board of Directors, Volunteer Coordinator, and volunteer driver for the Festival of Arts. Lisa has been at home raising her youngest of three children for the last four years, 24 Carrot Learning gives her the opportunity to return to a flexible progressive work environment and get back to enjoying what she loves to do - “learning and planning” !
24 Carrot Learning hosts the Victoria Chapter of Roaring Women - a business networking group founded in Calgary and opening chapters throughout Canada and the United States. This is an exciting organization that is growing by leaps and bounds.
